Caveat: these files were written by a non-LaTeX user (I am strictly a
PLAIN user), and may therefore be incomplete, sub-optimal, or even
wrong.  However, they are currently being used in Canada to produced a
700pp book, and no insurmountable problems have yet arisen.  There are
various afterthoughts, including such features as: Greek majuscules;
upright minuscule \mu; re-position of maths operators (vertically) which
have not been subsumed into the PS-* files but which are later appended
through the .STY file; these could be made available on request.
