Tested hardware: - Netra/X1 with IDE/DVD-drive. boot.iso and DVD on console=ttyS0 - U10 with IDE/DVD-drive. boot.iso and DVD. text, graphical - Netra T1405 (quad-440Mhz) boot.iso console=ttyS0 - U30/UPA graphics boot.iso So at least some hardware is working. Issues: - I did leave the sparcv9/NPTL glibc out for reason. Have to investigate it more. - boot.iso doesn't have keymaps. Crashes the anaconda/loader. Investigated. - most of the sparc64 RPMS needed for building are still left out. - no support for 32bit sun4m machines. - No TILO-images as those do load, but crash on 'Illegal instruction' after that. I just wanted to get this out on form i know should be pretty working and not having too much troubles in it. It's a start. The gcc and all the userspace is compiled with minimun of -mcpu=v8, so all that legacy sun4c is out as far as i am concerned. It's under investigation if there will be support for old 32bit machines at all. ATM there is not. This is preview of what is should mostly look like. There are issues, but after i get this out to public, i start working on those. Your CentOS-4.2/sparc maintainer, Pasi Pirhonen
